It’s Monday!

We love shooting engagements. We even include them in our wedding package because they’re

a) incredibly fun

b) a great way for our couples to get comfortable in front of the camera & know how we work

and c) we can stop in the middle of a shoot and get food, cause who doesn’t want Chinese food in the middle of a shoot.

We had three engagement sessions this past week. Three fantastic shoots in a row. Couldn’t have been any better.

Portrait time!

We are excited.

On November 18th, you’re invited to come out to take a portrait with your family, your girlfriend (10 points if you do, guys), your roommate—there are no limits here, people.

Need a Christmas card that doesn’t sport a picture from 2008?  Come!

We’ll have hot drinks, snacks, and I’m pretty sure you can also play ping-pong.

So there you have it! Send us an email {pinwheelcollective@gmail.com} to sign up for a 15 minute time slot and we’ll take care of the rest.

It’s Monday

I am so excited about this post, the most excited I’ve been for a Monday post.  I made donuts last weekend in Mt. Airy, North Carolina, home of Andy Griffith and the Autumn Leaves Festival.  The Amish Baking Co. is a family owned company specializing in glazed donuts and pretzels.  They rival Krispy Kreme (my words not theirs).  They travel through North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia working festivals and fairs.  Nate and Sadie, brother and sister duo, needed a little help.  I, along with a crew from Florida, headed to Mayberry to make sure donuts were made.  It was hard work, long days, and some of the most fun I’ve had.  Great people make light work.  Thanks for letting me take some pictures Nate and Sadie!

Katie Troyer - Those donuts are the best. The best of food runs in that family, on the Yoder side… Love seeing these pictures.
