I am continually brought back to the joy of living.  There is a surety of one thing in this life: hard times will come.  BUT between the hard times, like reading between the lines, there comes life unexpected.    So I’m hanging out with groms*, learning terms like grom, watching sunsets, and working 140 hours straight as a carni**.  Whoever said life was boring definitely didn’t try living.  So first, here’s what groms do for fun.

-Amelia

* Grom is a shortened version of grommet, which refers to a young surfer.

** More of this later.

It’s Monday!

You know when you can’t stop thinking about a cookie? That’s when you know you need to get in with the bakers and do a shoot that involves eating said cookies.

I’m mildly obsessed with Sunberry Baking Company. Justin and Rosemary, a husband & wife team, just took on a new venture in their life: bringing vegan treats to Harrisonburg’s sweet toothed people. We had a chance to photograph these two as they were baking brownies & scones for local venues.

They just do desserts right. Everything they use is about as organic, natural, and fair trade as you can get. If the proof is in the pudding, then goodness. Their pudding is perfect.

-Katie

If you’re in the Harrisonburg area, you can find their treats at the Harrisonburg Farmer’s Market or The Friendly City Co-op.
